In April of 2009 the R.A.C. of .W.A. ceased offering
Mobile Onsite Vehicle Inspections
to their members and the Perth public. As an ex-R.A.C.
vehicle inspector and road service patrolman, I felt
this service needed to continue to assist the motoring
public in making the right choice when it comes to
their next vehicle purchase.

Why is getting
a mobile onsite vehicle inspection
better than going to my mechanic?
Convenience. To organise a vehicle inspection
would literally cost you a day of your time. Having
to organise a time to collect the vehicle from the
seller, taking it to the place for the vehicle inspection,
waiting for the inspection and vehicle inspection
report to be completed and then returning the vehicle
to the seller. You also don’t have to worry
about a potential accident in the sellers vehicle,
which if that was to occur could cost you up to $2,000
from some dealerships for the insurance excess alone.
Why should I get the vehicle inspected?
In most cars over 2 years old there are faults
all be it minor. By getting an A1 Autocheck vehicle
inspection report it gives you the buyer bargaining
power, whether it be with a used car dealer or a private
seller. Purchasing a vehicle through a dealer they
have to supply you with a statutory warranty on the
vehicle which is usually 3 months or 5,000klm on vehicles
over $3,000, you can have the car assessed and any
faults found and repaired prior to purchase. As for
purchasing a vehicle privately you have no warranties
or guarantee on the vehicle so should you get the
vehicle inspected prior to purchase it will give you
an overall picture of the vehicle and some negotiating
power if faults are found.
How do I pay and get my vehicle
inspection report?
Once you have booked your vehicle inspection
you can pre-pay or we can take your credit card details
then once the vehicle has been inspected your credit
card will be charged with the agreed amount. Then
we can email, fax or leave the report in a sealed
envelope with the vehicle if you so desire. If your
report is Emailed or faxed, a copy of the report will
also be mailed to you. We also accept cash, credit
card and eftpos at the place of inspection. All cancellations
must be made 24 hours prior to the inspection booking
time, all cancellations made after this time will
incur a $25 cancellation fee.
Will the seller see the vehicle inspection report?
No, unless you specify to A1 Autocheck Mobile
Vehicle Inspections Perth that you give permission
for the seller to see the vehicle inspection report
it will not be shown to them.
Do you do vehicle inspections on older vehicles?
Yes, we inspect vehicles up to 25 years old.
